NPD said that it has made a partnership with Tru Optik, which claims to be “ the only audience measurement and data management platform built for OTT. Through the partnership, NPD will have access to Tru Optik’s first-party data set on the consumption of movie and video games via over-the-top (OTT) TV and Connected TV. Tru Optik said that it has more data on the global consumption of digital long-form entertainment content than any other company including Facebook and Google. THe company has tracking in over 150 countries and has data from 500 million consumers. The company uses technology to measure streams in torrents and P2P streaming.
