We reported quite a lot of new products from Mitsubishi in our Embedded World report, so we were quite surprised to see how much was new at SID.
First, we looked at a 4.3″ IPS display that has 1,000 cd/m² of output. Resolution is 480 x 272. The AA035AE01 is a 3.5″ LCD with 400 cd/m² brightness and 960 x 540 resolution (313 ppi) and also based on IPS.
The AA150PD14 is a new version of a long-standing 15″ 1400 x 1050 resolution monitor that has 800 cd/m² and has improved colour, with 72% of NTSC support. The company has supported 50% as standard colour coverage in the past, but is seeing requests for more saturation in applications including avionics. The main change is move to RGB ‘spike’ LEDs using R/G phosphors, rather than YAG.
The company also highlighted its ‘Gen 3’ PCap technology which can support 10 finger touch and was being shown on a 7″ 800 x 480 display.
