Microlite, the California-based developer of high gain projection screens is entering initial production phase in August 2015. After years of development, the company will be shipping two and three gain screens in 120″ and 144″ diagonal sizes, both in 16:9 format. Other sizes are available as special orders.
The screens offer a wide horizontal viewing angle and also add ambient light rejection. All screens can be cleaned with standard household cleaners and a cloth. In addition, Microlite is also working on a 1.5 gain rear projection screen and developing a motorized screen solution.
The expected price for the screens will be about half of other existing high gain screen solutions. – NH
