Studio Hamburg MCI has released details of its 2017 project, equipping the new 27-hall auditorium centre at Germany’s RWTH Aachen University with a range of media technology.
The centre’s three largest halls are all equipped with three Barco projectors, each providing 26,000 lumens, as well as an auto-calibration system that provides edge-blending capabilities. The next four largest halls feature two Panasonic PT-DZ870ELK projectors outputting 8,500 lumens, while the four smallest lecture theatres were accordingly equipped with smaller projectors with 7,000 lumens. Crestron media controllers are used to control AV components and room lighting.
The project also uses structured networks for all signal transmissions—audio, video, control, lighting and IP streaming—using CAT-7 copper or fiber gradient fiber cables
