LDM Product Round Up Vol 24 #45

AOC has put model numbers on the monitors that it previewed at Gamescon (Vol 24 #30 Product Round-Up). The AG273QCX is a 27″ curved TN model with 144Hz of refresh and QuadHD (2560 x 1440) resolution. There is support for AMD FreeSync 2 with HDR and the monitor is said to have a response time of 0.5ms. The AG273QCG is a version of the monitor that can go up to 165Hz and supports G-Sync, but loses support for HDR. The official launch will take place early in 2018.

Peerless AV, which has been working on a re-design of its corporate identity, has now made the KIPICT555 kiosk available outside the US. The unit has a 55″ FullHD display and features a Brightsign media player (HS123). The unit has six point infrared touch and brightness is 450 cd/m² and the panel is a VA unit with 9ms response and 5,000:1 contrast. The unit will be shown at ISE in February.

Thine Electronics, Inc said that Hirose Electric is now able to supply 51 core connectors in the FX16 Series M2 to support the Thine V-by-One US technology for the internal connections in high resolution displays such as UltraHD TVs with 16Gbps per lane. The US version is an upgrade to the VS version. The connectors are designed for flexible flat cables that can reduce EMI and may be used in 8K systems.
