LG has formally launched the 43UD79-B UltraHD monitor that we reported on at ISE, earlier this year. (LG Demonstrates Wide Range of Displays) The monitor has an IPS panel with 350 cd/m² of luminance, 1,000:1 contrast and a response time of 8ms (GTG). Connectors include 1 DisplayPort 2.0a and four HDMI inputs (two V1.4 and two with V2.0) and there are a range of PbP and PiP modes. It also has a USB Type-C connector with support for the DisplayPort Alt mode. The monitor is said to support ActiveSync.

Other features include a KVM mode that allows the monitor to switch the keyboard and mouse between two driving computers.

The monitor is being offered for pre-orders at $697 in the US.
