LEDCon Systems GmbH of Germany was showing new LED modules that it has developed that can be used to create free form and curved LED displays. The company created the design itself and has also developed a special software application to be used with a Novastar controller, which allows relatively simple configuration.

The company has inner and outer curved sections, so it can create completely circular displays of different sizes. At the moment, there is only one pitch available, which is 5.9mm. The company told us that the LEDs have to be very carefully aligned and rotated in creating the modules so that the viewing angle is the same for the LEDs, to give a consistent visual performance.

LEDCon also highlighted to us that it has installed the largest LED display in a sporting stadium at the FC Schalke site and that it is planning to install a big centre display at the Allianz arena in Munich.
