InFocus Fills in Collaboration Display Ranges

InFocus has been repositioning its ranges of product. At one time, it had just the very sophisticated and very full featured Mondopad at one end of the range and the JTouch simple touch displays at the other. Now the company is ‘filling in’ the range with two other product ranges which are all available in 55″, 65″, 75″ and 86″ sizes with UltraHD or FullHD, according to the model.
At the top of the line, Mondopad Ultra continues to include an integrated, Core i7 processor and complete Windows PC. Moving down, the Mondopad Launch range also includes a Windows PC, but this time it is based on a Core i5 processor. The Launch range is video conferencing ready.

Mondopad Access products have a built-in whiteboard feature that runs Android and supports the display OSD through the touch screen. Users can connect to the display via separate dongle systems. InFocus was highlighting its SimpleShare system and comparing it to others such as Barco’s very successful ClickShare products.

Next, we looked at new projectors and we first looked at the SPL1080HDUST which is laser phosphor projector which outputs 4,000 Ansi lumens with FullHD resolution. It has a 0.23 throw ratio and is expected to ship into Europe first. Pricing is likely to be around $2,000 and the company told us that it is quoting a 30,000 hour life – 50% longer than many specify.

The IN1186HD is an LED projector with 2,200 Ansi lumens with FullHD resolution and intended for mobile users and applications. In this unit, the light source is LED-based and lifetime is quoted at 30,000 hours.

The INL3148HD has 1920 x 1200 resolution with 5,000 Ansi lumens from a laser phosphor light source. It is aimed at professional installation applications and staff told us that pricing is still TBD.
