We’ve reported German KVM maker, Guntermann & Drunck several times, most recently from the ATC event in Madrid (KVMs Important in ATC) and we spotted them in our rush around Infocomm, but didn’t have time to stop. However, the company has said that at IBC it would show its ‘KVM-over-IP’ technology in a matrix system that can extend computer signals via standard IP-based networks on layer 3.
G&D have also expanded their portfolio of classic KVM systems by launching six new versions of the compact matrix series ControlCenter-Compact. Current additions include expansion stages with 176 and 128 CAT ports as well as mixed versions with 32 fibre ports and 16/32/48/80 CAT ports. All systems come with the in-house HDIP compression technology in the latest development stage, which enables a lossless transmission of video signals with a resolution of 4K at 60 Hz. Thus, the entire ControlCenter-Compact series can be combined with DP1.2-Vision KVM extenders to extend and switch 4K video signals through the matrix /
DP1.2-VisionXG is a powerful KVM extender to extend high-resolution 4K and 8K video signals at 60 Hz – uncompressed and latency-free. The extender system transmits 8K resolutions up to 10,000 m via optical fibers and will also be on display in Amsterdam.
