Eizo said that it would show a new line of HDR monitor solutions at the Beijing International Radio, TV & Film (BIRTV) Exhibition 2017 in Beijing, China. Eizo will be showcasing its new ColorEdge Prominence CG3145 HDR reference monitor. (Eizo Responds to HDR Mastering Need)
Analyst Comment
We haven’t seen this monitor yet, as I didn’t personally attend NAB and I could manage to catch up with a unit that was on a flying visit to the UK, but we have arranged to catch up with a unit in a few weeks’ time and will report on how good it really is. Eizo will be at IBC this year, so we expect the monitor to be shown there as well. (The monitor is interesting as it has a 1,000,000:1 contrast ratio, based on a dual layer LCD, with one LCD modulating the backlight) (BR)
