Look at the two images, one on a Sharp 32″ 4k IGZO monitor, and the other on the LG 34″ 60% 4k IPS monitor .

IPS (In-Plane-Switching) is a technology for LCD displays that offers users wider viewing angles and bolder colors by allowing the light to pass through the panel more evenly and with less distortion.

I’m happy to say, 4k gaming has arrived, but as it turns out, it isn’t necessarily the ultimate for gaming. As mentioned above, the LG’s PPI is 75.6% that of a 32″ 4K, and although I appreciate all the PPI I can get, in gaming, especially an FPS, FOV is more important, in my opinion.

The cinematic aspect ratio with its wider FOV really changes the feel of game play, and makes it more immersive.
