Amino to Deliver “Upcycling” Programme for T-Mobile Netherlands

Global media and entertainment technology solution provider Amino has secured a new contract to deliver an “upcycling” programme for T-Mobile Netherlands.

T-Mobile will deploy AminoOS software, which allows existing devices to deliver an upgraded TV experience, including integration with the latest media players, removing the need for replacement hardware. Amino says its software also enables a smooth transition to a new platform with minimal subscriber disruption.

T-Mobile will also receive cloud-based remote assistance and device management capabilities, integrated into their own monitoring tools, to ensure consumers are getting support during and after the process. These tools also lower operational expenditure by helping reduce both the number and duration of customer calls, Amino says.

Currently, T-Mobile provides mobile and broadband services to four million customers with over 200,000 subscribers to its TV service, which combines both broadcast and OTT feeds. As part of the contract, T-Mobile will also deploy additional Amino Aria HEVC-enabled devices to drive subscriber growth.
