DS Broadcast showed a new ATSC 3.0 decoder with both ROUTE (Real-Time Object Delivery over Unidirectional Transport) and MMTP (MPEG Media Transport) support. The BGD4100 Professional Decoder features decoding of UHD HEVC video with HDR support for SMPTE ST 2084 PQ and ITU-R BT 2100 HLG and audio support for AC-4, MPEG-H 3DA, and AAC.
The decoder is equipped with various inputs and outputs for maximum flexibility. The BGD4100 provides tuners for ATSC 3.0, ATSC (8VSB), Clear QAM (64/256) DVB-T/T2, DVB-S/S2 signals. It also includes ASI input/output ports as well as IP for the decoding of various types of video and audio. The decoder provides Quad 3G-SDI or Single Link 12G-SDI and HDMI 1.4/2.0a port as well as a built-in LCD monitor. Delivery of the BGD4100 to broadcast customers is expected the first half of next year.
