Yestech Innovates in LED Module Shape

Hunan Yestech Optoelectronic Co., LTD., AKA Yestech was showing two interesting new displays at ISE. The floor display was new and it came with two variations on position sensing to make places like dance floors interactive. One was what you would expect – pressure sensors built into the LED tiles. The other used radar to detect the position of feet or other objects on the floor. One advantage of the radar version is it could be retrofitted, if desired, onto any LED floor, making it interactive.

Yestech was also showing its new triangular and quarter-circle LED modules that would mate with normal square modules. These could be arranged in a variety of shapes such as the Christmas tree shown in the photo. Four quarter-circle modules were arranged in the Yestech booth a complete circle, which was then showing a Radar PPI image, complete with a sweeping green line going around. Simpler things could be done, too, such as putting a rounded corner on an otherwise conventional LED videowall. Cool! -Matthew Brennesholt
