Vivitek, which is the projector brand company for Delta Electronics, was at Infocomm to showcase its products. No new products were announced, however.
Vivitek is currently an all-lamp projector house, but it is working on a laser-based projector to be called the LU8000. Little information was available, other than it will be available in Q1’16 and is a 6,000 lumen, WUXGA model. The company is targeting a Rec. 709 color gamut and a 20K hour lifetime (to 50% brightness).
In the company’s 6800 series, it has now added a FHD resolution model. Their NovoConnect device, a wireless presentation box, has also been upgraded to support 1080p. This can support up to 64 users and is aimed at classrooms and more cost-conscious applications than the Mersive Solstice solution (Mersive Adds Solstice Pod to its Collaboration Solution).
