Visionox has announced that it will sell its PMOLED business in order to focus on developing its AMOLED technology, according to OLED-Info. Several China-based companies are involved in the sale, the publication said.
The technology company has been developing and producing a range of PMOLED displays since 2008, including flexible, transparent and ultra-thin types. Visionox previously revealed that it had sold 100 million PMOLED displays between 2012 and 2016 and more recently, in 2018, unveiled a range of new PMOLED prototype products.
In June, Visionox signed long-term licence and material purchasing agreements with Universal Display, which will supply its phosphorescent OLED materials to Visionox.
