Australian Pay TV provider Foxtel has chosen Technicolor’s Android TV technology for its new hybrid set-top box.
The Foxtel Now box will provide subscribers with content from its own video-on-demand service, as well as Youtube and other Android TV apps from the Google Play Store. It will also include a live TV tuner, providing access to free-to-air broadcast television, all in resolutions up to 2160p, dependent on individual app support.
