Sweden is close to migrating completely, with Stockholm the final area to change frequency at the end of October 2017. The country has also switched to DVB-T2 on one multiplex and is working on single-frequency networks to reduce interference. Originally, Teracom, which is managing the transmissions, planned to support DVB-T2 more widely allowing more HDTV channels, but adoption by viewers has been slower than the company had expected.
