Steljes Creditors Unlikely to Get Their Money

Distributor Steljes went bust (Steljes Goes Under) owing more than £6.7 million ($8.8 million) to unsecured creditors, according to a statement at the UK’s Companies House. Around 120 of these were trade creditors with debts of £6.1 million ($8 million). The largest, Smart Technologies, was owned more than £2.9 million ($3.8 million). BenQ (£1.2 million ($1.6 million)), Epson (£680,000 ($895,800)) and NEC (£156,000 ($205,500)) were the next-largest creditors.

Secured creditors, like Lloyds Band (£4.5 million ($5.9 million)) are likely to get all or most of their money back, but unsecured creditors are expected to receive just three pence in the pound: 3% of what they are actually owed.
