Spanish broadcasters RTVE, Atresmedia and Mediaset España will team up to develop a joint OTT TV platform to rival big competitors such as Netflix in Spain, it has been announced. The trio will initially launch an interactive platform based on the HbbTV standard in the summer of this year, followed by a full OTT service in early 2019.
