Sky will use AirTies’ Mesh technology (designed to increase WiFi coverage throughout the home) to ‘supercharge’ WiFi on its SkyQ devices. Mesh maps the home network as mobile devices move throughout the home, monitoring shifting demands in broadband and TV streams from multiple devices. It is able to decided ‘in near real-time’ which path to send data packets through to optimise performance.
