Sky Creates ‘Biggest Movie Service’ in Europe

Sky will relaunch its Sky Movies service as ‘Sky Cinema’ on the 8th July. It is described as ‘the biggest dedicated movie service in Europe’, with a new film added every day, and will be available at no extra cost. SkyQ customers will be able to access UltraHD films through Sky Cinema, and HD is available to all customers as standard. Sky says that it is using a new internal master format, providing ‘a third more pixels and four times the number of colour shades’ as the current HD.
