Poland’s DBCI has been on the rise for around 10 months now, since OVAB’s survey in the September/October 2014 period. The May/June results were up 12.9 points from March/April, to 59.05 – reflecting the extremely positive signage sentiment in the country.
9.1% of respondents said that their current business situation was ‘poor’, which is a slight increase from the previous survey. The amount of industry players with a ‘satisfactory’ business was down (46.2% to 36.4%), but those saying that their situation was ‘good’ was up (46.2% to 54.5%).
Almost 73% of companies expect their business to pick up in the next six months, up from 53.8% in March/April. Those expecting no change was down, from 46.2% to 27.3%. No respondents said that their business would get any worse – a situation that has been the case in OVAB’s results since the September/October survey.
The Polish market is slightly more positive about LED signage in indoor applications than others that OVAB has polled. 3.2% of respondents had ‘very high’ expectations and 55.6% had ‘high’ expectations, compared to 41.2% with ‘low’ expectations. Outdoor signage was still dominant, however: almost 90% of respondents had ‘high’ or ‘very high’ predictions for the technology.
