DVB-T Rises in Poland at Expense of DTH

Nielsen estimates that, between July 2014 and January 2015, the number of TV households in Poland rose 0.6%, or 77,000 homes, to 13.05 million. Satellite households fell 1% (53,000) to 4.6 million and viewers were down 77,000 to 14.04 million. DTH remained the most popular form of reception, however. Cable TV is taken by 4.04 million households and 10.2 million people (down 7,000). DVB-T recorded the largest change; up 2% YoY, to 4.41 million households. The figure also represents an 8.2% gain in viewers, to 11.45 million.
