Barco is working with Belgium’s Kinepolis to brings its panoramic, three-screen cinema concept, Barco Escape (Display Monitor Vol 21 No 37), to Europe. Visitors to Kinepolis’ locations in Antwerp and Brussels can now watch The Maze Runner using the technology.
A working Apple-1 – the first pre-assembled computer (actually just a motherboard) ever sold – will go on sale on 22nd October at Bonhams. Korea’s new Lotte Cinema World Tower, in Seoul, is the country’s largest multiplex, with 21 screens and 4,600 seats – and multiple Christie cinema products. These include Solaria-series projectors (CP2215, CP2220, CP2230 and CP4230); Vive Audio; ACT digital cinema control systems; and Christie’s integrated media block. Installation was undertaken by local partner Eugenetek Corporation.
