DisplayPort v1.3 has just been released by the Video Electronic Standards Association (VESA), supporting up to 32.4Gbps. UK-based Holotronica has developed a 3D display solution called Holo-Gauze. As well as creating a polarised 3D projection system, the transparent metallic gauze can be used to show 2D hologram effects, when viewed without polarised glasses. It is not a traditional Pepper’s Ghost system, said Holotronica.
