Everdisplay Extends AMOLED Production Plans

China’s Everdisplay Optoelectronics began mass-producing AMOLED panels earlier this year (Display Monitor Vol. 21 No 30). Now OLED-Info has said that the company is developing 5.6″ panels (1920 x 1080) and plans to launch them in February 2015. Following this, the company will produce a 1.63″ (320 x 320) unit for 301 in Q2’15.

Quanta Plans Double-Digit Wearable Growth

Quanta vice chairman C.C. Leung told journalists in New Taipei City that the company expects “significant growth” in the wearables market next year.
