Roundabout Invests in Leader for Content Creation

Film and TV production support company Roundabout Entertainment has taken on one of Leader’s LV5490 UltraHD waveform monitors. The unit was adopted due to the growing interest in high-resolution content creation, according to Roundabout; technical manager Stuart Clark said, “[UltraHD] is now the logical resolution for any new production project”.

Microsoft Invites to ‘Next Chapter’ of Windows

Microsoft will be holding an event to unveil the ‘next chapter’ of Windows 10 on 21st January. Several executives, including CEO Satya Nadella, will be present at the event (at Microsoft’s headquarters in Redmond, California). It is thought that the consumer preview will be launched on the day. A mobile device UI is also expected.

Intel Takes to the High Seas

Royal Carribean’s new vessel, Quantum of the Seas, is the world’s first ‘smartship’. Part of the reason for this is the 15,000 Dell Venue tablets positioned around the ship at point-of-sale locations. 40,000 tablets, built by Hexa Electronics, have also been supplied to the crew as a way to stay connected with friends and family.
