Beacons and Bright Screens Trialled in Berlin

Deutsche Bahn has launched a pilot project at the Berlin Südkreuz railway station, trialling high-brightness touch screens and beacon technology. Six dual-sided totems, each with 3,000 cd/m² of brightness and 1920 x 1080 resolution, are in use. Lenovo Declines to Ramp Production

Notebook shipments at LCFC (Hefei) Electronics, a joint venture between Lenovo and Compal, will not be ramped higher in the next fiscal year, say sources in the supply chain. The decision was taken due to higher-than-expected shipments in fiscal 2015, expected to be about 23 million units: 15% higher than the 20-million-unit target.
