The UK’s Audio Visual Material (AVM) has signed a new distribution agreement with Toshiba which will see the company offer Toshiba’s FullHD large format displays in the UK. The range includes the TD-E, TD-Z and TD-X series, spanning sizes from 55″ to 70″.
The International Trade Commission has ruled against Microsoft in an ongoing dispute, which could force the company to stop selling some Lumia smartphones in the USA. AU Optronics Corp. (AUO) posted a net profit in the first quarter of the year of NT$5.3 billion ($173 million), a significant improvement on Q1 2014 when the company’s net profit was NT$166 million ($5.4 million). Sources in Asia say that vendors have been developing their own wearable platforms in-house, following relatively low shipments of Android Wear products last year.
