AU Optronics Corp. (AUO) posted a net profit in the first quarter of the year of NT$5.3 billion ($173 million), a significant improvement on Q1 2014 when the company’s net profit was NT$166 million ($5.4 million). Wearable Vendors Disengage From Android

Sources in Asia say that vendors have been developing their own wearable platforms in-house, following relatively low shipments of Android Wear products last year.
