Spain Disillusioned With Pay-TV

The Spanish Observatory of Telecommunications has said that pay-TV ARPUs fell 6.3% YoY in 2014, from €30 to €25.60. In Q4, households spent €253 million on pay-TV – down 38.6% from Q4’13’s €412. Pay-TV penetration reached 21.9%, although 49.1% of pay-TV homes in Spain said that they were unhappy with the service they were receiving.
