Liberty Global lost 169,000 video subscribers in Q1, due to the under-performance of the Ziggo service. However, Horizon performed well. Liberty’s ‘next-generation’ video platforms added a total of 274,000 subscribers, including a record 171,000 for Horizon and 100,000 for TiVo (in the UK), in Q1.

BOE has begun construction on its G6 LTPS LCD/AMOLED fab in Chengdu, China. The total investment is estimated at $3.54 billion and production is scheduled to begin in the first half of 2017. Small-sized high-end mobile displays will be produced, with a capacity of 45,000 substrates per month.
