Following tests by Dutch website GSMinfo, Sony has admitted that its Z3+ smartphone (Xperia Z4 in Japan) is suffering from overheating issues. The company has blamed Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810 chip for the problem. Sony will release a fix, in a software update, in the summer.
Greek regulator EETT is seeking to end illegal analogue transmissions in the country. Several local municipalities are still permitting these broadcasts to take place for viewers outside of the DTT coverage area. EETT is working to end the transmissions and ensure that all households have access to TV services.
ARCEP, the French regulator, is updating its rules regulating the DTT transmission market, for the 2015 – 2018 period. The proposed new rules reflect ARCEP’s belief that the DTT broadcast market is shrinking. They aim to encourage competitiveness and discourage unnecessary investments.
