Pegatron Predicts Record Turnover in 2015

Pegatron says it expects to achieve record turnover this year, following last year’s NT$1.02 trillion ($32.6 billion), thanks to the company’s strategy of widening its portfolios of communication, IT and consumer electronics products.

The company’s communications business generated around 63% of Pegatron’s total revenue in Q1, while the notebook unit contributed 16%. The launch of new smartphones next month by Pegatron’s parent company Asustek, together with anticipated new iPhone products in September, will help the company deliver a strong performance in the second half of the year. Pegatron is also upbeat about a renewed demand for notebooks when Microsoft releases the Windows 10 operating system next month.

Pegatron is expected to complete construction of two new plants in Suzhou and Kunshan, China, between the end of this quarter and the beginning of next quarter.
