Orders for LED backlights at Taiwanese LED makers have been falling, due to falling growth in global LCD TV demand, say supply chain sources. YoY growth predictions have been lowered from 4% to 3.3%, and the number of LED chips used in backlighting is falling. Competition from Chinese LED makers is also rising.
