Blackberry suffered lower-than-expected results in Q2 of its 2016 fiscal year (ended in August). The company reported a net loss of $66 million, on gross pre-tax revenue of $201 million. The company sold 800,000 smartphones in the quarter, at an average value of $240.

French Pay-DTT Faces Challenges

An investigation by Tele Satellite has shown that French broadcasters are ‘no longer allowing’ viewers to subscribe to their paid services from the pay-DTT platform. Instead, viewers are directed to IPTV, satellite and other platforms. In addition, several broadcasters have requested that their pay-TV services be moved to the FTA DTT platform.
