Kyocera is to begin construction of a third manufacturing facility at its Kyoto Ayabe complex in Japan this week, says Evertiq. Japan’s Nikkei newspaper says that Apple has cut iPhone production, due to weak sales of the flagship iPhone 6S/6S Plus and rising inventory levels. 6S production was apparently reduced by 30% in calendar Q1’16.
