Supply chain sources claim that Apple will move away from LG’s plastic OLED display in the next Apple Watch. Instead, the company will use a micro LED screen. Apple acquired micro LED maker LuxVue in 2014 and set up an R&D lab in Taiwan last year.
To promote its 2016 TVs, Samsung is opening pop-up experience zones in cities around the world. Beginning in Jakarta, Indonesia, the zones – where customers can see the TVs and share photos on social media – will also be launched in cities including Moscow, Berlin, Singapore and Sydney.
