Advanced Semiconductor Engineering (ASE) and Siliconware Precision Industries (SPIL) have formally agreed to merge their businesses. Nvidia has released a firmware update for its Shield set-top box, which adds HDR support for Netflix video. YouTube videos can be viewed in UltraHD at 60fps, and Vudu UltraHD is also supported. In addition, Nvidia has added Plex media server support and voice search for Netflix, Spotify and Vudu.
