Optoma has a new LED UltraHD DLP projector for home cinema applications based on a DLP engine with 2000 lumens of output and 250,000:1 contrast. It has support for 118% of Rec.709 for wide colour support. The projector has features including voice control (Alexa in the US, UK and Germany only) and an integrated media player. There are dual HDMI 2.0 inputs and the unit is said to have four different HDR modes.
The projector has a throw ratio of 1.2:1 and the screen size is 0.76m – 5.08m (30″ – 200″) and the lens is fixed, although there is 10% vertical lens shift of 10%. Audio is supported by dual 8W speakers and the unit decodes Dolby 5.1 audio.
Noise is 28dB and weight is 3.8kg with dimensions of 220 x 220 x 135mm.
Pricing in the UK is £1,299 ($1,400 + tax).

This looks like a very attractive option for home use. The colour support should be very good with an LED source, if it is well implemented.
