Optoma Produces Its Own HDBaseT Transmitter

Optoma has launched its new HDBaseT transmitter, the 4K100TX which is, of course, compatible with Optoma HDBaseT-enabled projectors.

James Fursse, VSS Technical Product Manager at Optoma Europe, commented: “The 4K100TX HDBaseT transmitter simplifies transmission of uncompressed UHD and Full HD video and audio through long distances via a single CAT type cable. We decided to launch our own HDBaseT transmitter with all of the features we know our customers will use, such as flexible control system integration with IR, RS232 and LAN pass through. It gives peace of mind there will be no compatibility issues.”

Analyst Comment

In the early days of HDBaseT, there were a lot of compatibility issues between HDBaseT devices although there is now a certification programme which has reduced the frequency of this kind of problem. (BR)
