Eurogamer reported that Nintendo was to end the production of the Wii U game console, but Nintendo told a Japanese newspaper that it would continue production “as normal”. Sales of the Wii U have been weak (cumulatively to the end of September, 13.36 million compared to 101 million units of the original Wii). Nintendo recently trailled the Switch (Nintendo Switch Teased) which will be available later.
