Spanish pay TV provider Movistar will soon begin to offer its customers Ultra HD content via the updated STB it released in May. This means that all pay TV operators in Spain now offer UHD content. Movistar’s offering will begin with La Liga football matches. Its roadmap for future UHD content is not yet known.
Movistar launched its Ultra HD-capable Movistar Plus set-top-box back in May, but the operator hadn’t provided any UHD content for Plus customers until now.
