Minerva Unveils New Cloud Television Service

Minerva Networks has announced a cloud television service that enables operators to transition from their legacy set-top box-centric offerings, delivering a personalised user experience across both managed and unmanaged devices. The new service is powered by the company’s Minerva 10 platform, combined with other content recommendation, content security, and video processing systems.

A native client application enables Minerva to refresh the user experience on a broad range of legacy set-top boxes without disrupting subscribers. preserving revenue streams from its existing consumer premise equipment. Service providers can equip new subscribers with next-generation set-top boxes or, if their access network and content rights allow it, they can deliver services directly to consumer devices. The Minerva Cloud TV service supports a variety of streaming media and mobile devices, including Apple TV, Roku TV, Amazon Fire TV, and Android TV, as well as iOS and Android tablets and smartphones.
