Matrox has announced the Maevex 6150 quad 4K encoder appliance which puts a Maevex 6100 PCI card into a box with a supporting system and allowing capture and encoding. The appliance is programmed with the PowerStream Plus software. Media can be previewed through a composited DisplayPort output and the appliance has a number of control buttons that can be used to operate it where software control is not possible or convenient.
The system will ship in Q3 and will be shown at NAB.
