A memorandum of understanding has been signed in Azerbaijan, regarding a ‘major’ carbon nanotube (CNT) project. Azerbaijan Investment Company (AIC), Sumgait Chemical Industrial Park and Southwest Nanotechnologies (SWNT) agreed the MOU, which will see them begin long-term co-operation on a large CNT production facility.
The project will be located at the Sumgait Chemical Industrial Park. Initial production scale will be around 1,000 tons per year, beginning in 2016.
