Lenovo Deluge Led by OLED Notebook

ThinkPad T460s Product PhotographyOur Managing Editor loves his T440S notebook (the third generation of this product that he has used) and so we had a look at the latest incarnation, the T460S. The notebook is a high end ultrabook and the weight has now been reduced to the same as the original very light X1 Carbon at 3 lbs and just 18.8mm thick. There are optional 14″ displays with IPS technology with 1920 x 1080 resolution and optional touch or with 2560 x 1440 resolution. The IPS performance is much better than the T440S. Intel i7 vPro processors are fitted along with an option of Nvidia GeForce 930M or Intel graphics. It can support docking even when using the optional graphics (unlike earlier versions) and supports SSDs of up to 512GB or a 1TB hard drive. Battery life is said to be up to 14 hours and 24GB of DDR4 memory can be fitted. The PC also has an HDMI port as well as mini-DisplayPort and full size Ethernet and three USB ports. Almost the only “downgrade” is that the system no longer has the “hot swap” dual battery system.

Lenovo has also upgraded the ThinkPad range with new Skylake versions including the T460, T560, T460p, ThinkPad 13, X260, L460, and L560. The company also showed the Lenovo MIXX 700 Business Edition and the Lenovo YOGA 900 Business Edition and the ThinkCentre TIO 2 (available in two different sizes).
