Intel Wins Drone Display Record

Intel has been working for a while to show how its chips can be used to create airborne displays based on drones that are flying to become individual pixels based on RGB LEDs. Now the company has beaten its own world record for the number of drones, with a display using a single notebook to control 500 of the Intel Shooting Star drones. The company wants to move the technology into commercial applications and one of the first clients is Disney, which has already used 300 simultaneous drones at the Walt Disney World Resort. The drones can fly for around 20 minutes.
