Immersion of France was one of the companies that had the most substantial presences at the show along with partners, including Planar (it had the Planar transparent OLED on display) and the company is a major player in the VR market in France. It has offices in Bordeaux, Paris and Nantes and has been active in the market for VR and Caves 22 years with a wide range of corporate clients including Airbus, Dassault, Thales and Xerox.
One of the products that was announced just before the show was the “VR in a Case” solution which is a specially prepared flight case including everything for a VR wall including an Optoma UST projector, 3D glasses, a tracker system, tracking targets and dual configured PCs. The whole system weighs 45Kg and can be shipped ready for use. The firm told us that it is already in use with companies that are using it with sales people to show presentations. We heard that staff on the booth set up the demonstration system in just 8 minutes, but the firm told us that 10 to 15 minutes is a more typical time. The cost is €30,000 plus software (and tax).
The company was also showing the latest ZSpace AIO (the firm is the French distributor) and a collaboration table, its own product.
