To celebrate becoming this year’s UK City of Culture, Hull started the year with seven days of a spectacular called Made in Hull, which was attended by 342,000 people. It was created by Hull-born film-maker Sean McAllister and used light projections across the city’s landmark buildings from 30 projectors. 20 artists prepared mappings using software from d3 Technologies to make virtual 3D models.
